Water For The World Project
Thank you to everyone who donated to our "Water For The World" project at the Thompson Trade Show. Our
goal is to raise $15,000 to drill a water well for villages in the Darfur region of Africa. We raised $305.00 at
the tradeshow, and we are accepting online pledges directly on the Worldvision website. Water borne diseases are
the biggest killer of children in this area, so please give generously. We take our own water for granted, but what
if we had to walk over 6 miles a day just to get a cup of water? Watch this space for our next fund-raising event
in Thompson. UPDATE!!! - We just added another $48.96 to the tally from our
inhouse recycling program. Thanks to your efforts, 2448 empty water bottles were returned to our offices between
April 1, 2008 and June 30, 2008, which we then took to the recycling centre. We then matched the 2 cents per bottle
enviro levy for a total of $48.96 added to our Water For The World project. Thank you Thompson, and lets keep up the
good work!! Click Here to donate online NOW!!!
